Heartwood House

Heartwood House is at the heart of Lost Pines: named after the core of a tree’s trunk and located at the center of the property, it is a place for guests to return time and again. Blending a rustic farmhouse feel with a modern country aesthetic, this grand gathering area with buffet-style service was made for groups— from families making memories to colleagues connecting after a day of meetings. Serving Lone Star State classics for both breakfast and dinner, Heartwood House provides the fuel for whatever adventures lie ahead.

Maverick's Roadhouse

A modern take on the classic Texas Roadhouse, Maverick's is both refined and a little rough around the edges in all the best ways. Here you'll find an approachable, fun atmosphere featuring eclectic art on the walls, elevated fare on the menu, and experiences that are pure Texas. Think chicken-fried steak, pork belly sandwiches, fish and chips, strawberry shortcake, plenty of local craft beer on tap, bourbon flights, and all your favorite cocktails. Sit inside in a cozy booth and check out the road signs, or head out to the covered porch and stake our your spot by the fire pit. Whatever you choose, you are about to discover something fresh and bold.

Maude's Bar and Terrace

Lovingly named for our famous pecan tree, Maude’s is a most gracious Southern host, inviting you to sit back and savor life’s leisurely pleasures. The lifeblood of Lost Pines, it’s an indoor/outdoor experience with live music, fire pits, and light, fun libations to go with wood-fired flatbreads and other sharable plates. Grab a craft cocktail or mocktail with fresh-squeezed juices. Head out to the porch and tap your toe to the tunes. Share a slice of pecan pie (or keep it all to yourself, because it’s just that good). Whether you are starting your evening or just finishing up, Maude’s is made for relaxing.

Take a trip to the past in our old-fashioned general store. Our Austin dining establishment pays tribute to the historic Bastrop County city of McDade, a town that embodies the spirit of old Texas. A visit to McDade’s Emporium & Ice Cream Saloon will be a stroll down memory lane, where you can buy candy by the pound, sip a rich milkshake or indulge in a luscious ice cream cone. McDade’s is also the place to be for one of today’s most sought-after treats: freshly brewed Starbucks coffee! The heavenly aromas of specialty coffee drinks and house-baked pastries are a perfect pairing. Also, our selection of gifts, souvenirs, pottery and sundry items makes for great browsing while you wait for your vanilla latte. You can also pick up a hot sandwich, salad or some fruit for a picnic on our lovely grounds or for your travels back home.

There’s no need to leave the fun of our Crooked River Pool just because you’re hungry or thirsty. Let the team from Old Buck’s bring you your favorite refreshing drinks and light fare as you relax in your comfortable lounge chair. Want a break from the sunshine? Then come on in and grab a seat at the bar or under the shade and enjoy an ice-cold beer with a foot-long hot dog or a frozen margarita and nachos. Conquer your appetite for good food in the great outdoors at the grill appropriately named for the man who conquered the Colorado River, Buck Buchanan.

Taking its name from both its lofty perch on the second story overlooking stands of pecan trees as well as the impressive literary history of Bastrop, Stories is an elegant dinner-only restaurant that dishes up inspired haute cuisine in a scenic setting. A guest favorite and a drive-and-dine draw for foodies in Bastrop, Austin and surrounding communities, Stories features a vaulted ceiling, tasteful colors and rich wildwood tables, as well as an intimate outdoor porch overlooking the hotel’s manicured grounds. Restaurant patrons will enjoy locally sourced and regionally inspired seasonal menus thoughtfully designed and served by Bastrop native Chef Daniel Voluz and his talented culinary team. Wine flights and by-the-glass selections from around the world also provide an optional complement to every evening meal.

Sushi By Scratch

Sushi by Scratch Restaurants is Chef Phillip Frankland Lee’s new signature Omakase. Located in the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa, unknowingly lies an intimate counter with 10 prized seats. Relax and enjoy as the chefs prepare a playful reverie on new wave nigiri and other delicacies from both land and sea in a free form interpretive take on the traditional sushi counter experience where you can expect unexpected riffs on beloved standards.
