Spa Django’s name was inspired by the Romany gypsy word django (which translates literally as “I awake”), as well as the legendary Belgian-born guitarist Django Reinhardt, whose captivating gypsy-jazz style heavily influenced the evolution of music in Texas and around the world. Additional inspiration for the name of this spa destination stemmed from the surrounding Lost Pines landscape, the history of gypsy culture of Bastrop and the vibrant music scene of Austin.
