WILDFLOWER TRAIL RUN – SAT.-SUN., MAY 6-7, 2023
Take Mom through the wildflowers of Texas Hill Country. This trail run has a wide range of races. You’ll see the fire-struck forest of 2011 and the rebirth of the Lost Pines amidst small rocky sections and gentle climbs.

Dinner with a view of the Colorado River and live music might be the perfect Mother’s Day gift. She’ll love it. On Friday, May 12, you’ll hear singer/songwriter Michael Anthony with a unique mix of country, blues, rock and soul music that he calls, “Texas Edge.” Saturday, May 13, brings Everett Wren to the stage, a fiddler and multi-instrumentalist that winds through a wide variety of soulful and dance-worthy tunes. Sunday, May 14th you can listen to the blues-rocking, soul-singing drummer Lindsay Beaver and one of the hottest new young singers and guitar-playing artist Brad Stivers.

Brains and brews make for a fun night as you and Dad flex your brain power at Bastrop Beer Company’s Trivia Night. They have more than 100 brews on hand, plus an entire retail store, so you can gift Dad some interesting beers to take home.

Pizza, craft brews, and live music along the Colorado River make for a pretty awesome night out on Father’s Day weekend. On Friday, June 16, Beth Lee and the Breakups will play. Straight out of Austin, come hear Beth Lee’s original take on the grit and soul of the Houston music scene.
On Saturday night, you can hear Tahni Handal & Love Generator live. Sometimes acoustic and introspective and sometimes rockin’ and fierce, Tahni’s music is emotionally powerful, spiritually driven, and inspiring all at the same time.
Sunday brings Austin star and singer/songwriter, Ryan DeSiato [Deh-See-auto] with his signature mix of modern rock, world music, folk, and improvisation. A former winner of Austin Music Network’s “Video of the Year” for his single Make Believe, this is a show you won’t want to miss.
14th Annual Blue Flame Cruisers Car & Motorcycle Show – SAT., JUNE 17, 2023
Cars, motorcycles, and dads go hand in hand at this collector’s auto show, held at the Bastrop Convention & Exhibit Center. It's sponsored by the Blue Flame Cruisers Car and Motorcycle Club, who make many charitable contributions throughout Bastrop County.
Bastrop Juneteenth Freedom Celebration – SAT., JUNE 17, 2023
Freedom and fathers combine in this day-long festival commemorating the day all slaves were officially freed in Texas on June 19, 1865. Head to Fisherman’s Park for a parade and an afternoon and evening of live music, food, and small business vendors.
Bastrop’s Pop-Up Market is making a Father’s Day showing with a host of amazing vendors including Gumbeaux Man mobile Cajun and BBQ, homemade baked goods, leather items, exotic plants, and so much more. There’s even a free open house at Gravity District Aerials where anyone can learn about circus training.

With the natural beauty Bastrop holds, a fishing weekend may be the best gift ever for the Dad in your life. Bastrop State Park, Mckinney Roughs Nature Park, and Fisherman’s Park all hold a promising catch he’ll be proud of.

Take Dad to Zip Lost Pines, Texas’s only side-by-side ziplines that accommodate up to six riders at a time. You’ll soar above the Lost Pines, across steep canyons, and over the Colorado River through Mckinney Roughs Nature Park.
