Featuring over 30 bands and 40 performances, the Bastrop Music Festival is set to take center stage September 23 - 26, 2021 in the heart of Historic Downtown Bastrop. This music festival features performances by bands of numerous genres in venues along the lower Colorado River, with a mixture of wristband-only nighttime performance as well as free daytime events including shows for children.

McKinney Roughs Nature Park

McKinney Roughs Nature Park is a 1,100-acre nature park along the Colorado River welcoming adventure seekers to explore the variety of activities offered. A multi-use trail system of up to 18 miles of trails through the Lost Pines is available to hikers, mountain bikers and equestrian users. Visitors can enjoy guided group activities such as team building, challenge course obstacles, kayaking and river rafting trips, and UTV tours to observe the native flora and fauna in the area. Also featured at McKinney Roughs Nature Park is Zip Lost Pines - the longest dual zip line in Texas! Other park amenities include various rental facilities, suitable for group sizes large and small, ideal for weddings, school groups and other private events. The park also offers on-site overnight accommodations, which includes dormitories that sleep up to 122 and a hostel that sleeps up to 10.
