Our small town has always offered a big welcome. It’s one of the things that makes Bastrop so much fun to visit. That along with our wealth of natural beauty, diverse places to stay and great food to eat is why we’ve had so many new friends visit over the last couple of years.
In light of all this, we are thrilled to celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week, May 1 – 7, 202 and America’s return to travel. In 2019 before the pandemic, travel in America generated $2.6 trillion in economic output and supported 17 million American jobs. Optimism across the country has been surging as many have been returning to the spots they love – like Bastrop, TX.

You are invited to be our guest at the Chamber Luncheon to be held on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022 from 11:30am – 1:00pm at the Bastrop Convention Center.
We’ll be presenting an update on the “Future of Travel” in Bastrop, about how our community has benefitted and what new, exciting things we have planned. You’ll have a chance to meet our Visit Bastrop team and win some great prizes like an overnight golf package at the Hyatt Lost Pines worth $1,500. You do have to be present to win.
