  • 603 Chestnut St
  • Bastrop, TX 78602
Details
In 1933, Tom Powell Haynie obtained the exclusive Chevrolet dealership, razed the frame buildings on this lot and replaced them with brick. Coca-Cola finally purchased the building from the Haynie grandchildren in 1972, then sold the building to Charles DeWitt Alexander and his wife, LaVerne, in 1980, who used the building as a warehouse. The front half of the building was leased to the Ladies of Charity, Bastrop Bargains and finally to a combination Mexican restaurant and grocery store.
