Another First Friday is just a few days away! If you haven’t been before, First Fridays take place in Downtown Bastrop on the first Friday of each month. Celebrate local artists, enjoy some fabulous works, and experience all the art and culture this community has to offer. These monthly events are FREE!

Details
After her husband, Edward, was killed by Indians, Sarah Jenkins moved into this home with three children and a baby on the way. Sarah married Reverend James Northcross in 1835 who died at the Alamo next year. Her son John Holland, joined Sam Houston's army in 1836, but returned to help his mother flee Bastrop during the "Runaway Scrape."
