LOST PINES ART BAZAAR CELEBRATES FIFTH ANNIVERSARY IN BASTROP

Small-town big-style boutique marks milestone on Friday, Sept. 1 with sweets, bubbly, music and more

BASTROP/AUSTIN, TEXAS (Aug. 30, 2017) – If you’re big on shopping, style and small towns, kick off your Labor Day Weekend in downtown Bastrop at the five-year anniversary celebration of Lost Pines Art Bazaar (LPAB). Timed in tandem with the monthly First Friday Art Walk, LPAB’s anniversary festivities will be held Friday, Sept. 1 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. inside their boutique, located at 603 Chestnut, just footsteps from historic Main Street.

“In yoga, they say you’re a beginner for the first 10 years, but I feel like that applies to everything—including running this boutique,” said Saba Khonsari, co-owner of Lost Pines Art Bazaar. “While it still feels new in some ways, preparing for this celebration gave us the chance to reflect on how our store has evolved over the last five years. We really love what our shop has become, and we’re even more excited to continue our mission of offering customers inspiring and quality handcrafted goods.”

LPAB’s five-year anniversary celebration will begin with a ribbon-cutting at 5 p.m. with the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, followed by a night of live music by Atash, cupcakes from Simply Sweet Bastrop, complimentary champagne for those of age and thank-you gifts with each purchase.

In support of its neighbors in Smithville and LaGrange—as well as its hometown of Houston and Friendswood—in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, LPAB is collecting donations and supplies at Friday’s celebration and will deliver items to places in need Sunday, Sept. 3. For those attending the anniversary party, co-owners Saba and Naseem Khonsari ask that guests bring items such as pet food, new toiletries, diapers and more for donation.

Online and in-store giveaways will follow in the week after the anniversary. To enter, customers can visit LPAB’s Instagram page or make a purchase at the boutique during the celebration. Prizes include goods from various LPAB vendors, among them Bella Tunno, Lafco, Milkbarn Kids and June & December. The event will also feature a Raven + Lily pop-up shop showcasing products not normally carried in-store, including apparel, jewelry, bags and home décor.
