Kerr Community Park was built in 2006. This precious and historic land was donated by the Kerr Community Center to The City of Bastrop as a match for a grant by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department fund and others in the community to build the park. This park is shared by the Kerr Community Center and neighborhood. In 2014 activists held a Freedom Picnic in the Park. The park served as an advocacy site to bring awareness to the Rodney Reed case. The Reed family live in another former Kerr family home, the Pleoger-Kerr House which is adjacent to the park. Plan your next big event today!
