Details
The Citizens State Bank Building, 928 Main, was built circa 1909-1911, an example of American Beaux Art/ Neoclassical Revival style. The bank's long time president, Paul D. Page, used the bank's upper floor as a law office until his death in 1945. Page and Congressman Lyndon B. Johnson were the leading forces in bringing Camp Swift to Bastrop. The Citizens State Bank occupied this building until 1974.
