The Bastrop Homecoming and Rodeo originated in in 1947 as a way of welcoming back 90,000 soldiers who had been based at Camp Swift during WWII. Today we welcome locals and visitors alike to this unique, hometown event where you'll find live music, a rodeo, various tournaments, dances, class reunions, and a Grand Parade. This four night celebration is full of "feel good vibes" and memories for the making.

Bastrop 1832 Farmers Market is perfectly positioned in Historic Downtown Bastrop between the Convention Center and the Lost Pines Art Center. Here you'll find a myriad of in-season produce, grass fed beef, pasture raised chicken, local raw honey, farm eggs, micro greens, baked goods, prepared foods, cookies, jams, jellies, pickles, traditional Chinese herbals, handmade noodles, herbs, plants, and flowers, artisan wares such as soaps, candles, knitted items, pottery, metal arts, and the list goes on.
