Public Library and Bird City Bastrop Spring Birding 101 Class Everything you need to know to improve your birding skills in and around the Bastrop area, presented by members of Bastrop County Audubon and Lost Pines Master Naturalists.
The class will give you some easy pointers to help you recognize the birds you see and hear as well as help you find them at home and in the field. Also included is training in use of binoculars, bird-listing and ID apps like Merlin, Audubon and eBird.
Make it a family affair; ages 8 and up are welcome! Parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring young people and introduce them to the exciting hobby of birding! No signup necessary, just show up at 6:30 in the library's meeting room! Class meets on 3 consecutive Mondays beginning March 9 and continuing on March 16 and 23 at the Bastrop Public Library. Time of class is 6:30 - 8:30 PM.
