The Bastrop Museum & Visitor Center at 904 Main Street in the historic district of downtown Bastrop, TX announces a grand opening reception and lecture on "Modern Reflections of Historic Bastrop County: A Photographic Special Exhibit by Bob Parvin" on Thursday evening, April 25th, 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Bob Parvin, an award-winning Texas photographer and former Bastrop resident, speaks at 6:30pm about his longtime interests in Texas history, architecture, cultural and natural heritage. He will also discuss how he finds means for artistic expression through his photography. More than 2,000 of Parvin's images have been published and exhibited throughout the Texas and the United States.

The "Modern Reflections of Historic Bastrop County" exhibition is free and open to the public, inviting everyone to immerse themselves in the captivating dialogue between the old and the new.

Join us at the Bastrop Museum & Visitor Center and witness the timeless beauty of Bastrop County as seen through the lens of one of its most esteemed photographers. Refreshments are provided.

The Reception and Lecture is part of the Bastrop County Historical Society's quarterly meeting. All members are encouraged to attend.
