Texas will be centerstage for a total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024!  In Bastrop, at approximately 12:20 pm, the moon will start to block the sun causing an (almost) total solar eclipse. The sun is expected to eclipse until 2:25 pm. We're located right outside the path of totality, making Bastrop a great place to view the eclipse without having to maneuver the crowds. Solar Eclipse in Bastrop

Jake Waylon Trio LIVE

Jake Waylon would tell you he is a jack of all trades and master of none. He's a singer, songwriter, and a guitar and mandolin picker. He could fool you into thinking he was a drummer if he spent long enough to knock the rust off. He will pick a bass with no hesitation, play some trash harp like Dylan or Young, and is no stranger to a piano. Jake engineered, mixed, and co-produced Dale & Waylon's debut self-titled album released May of 2020. It is a collaborative effort with friend and long time songwriting partner Ryan Dale.

On top of that, Jake is a journeyman electrician, a pretend carpenter, amateur plumber, occasional house painter, stubborn do-it-yourselfer, wannabe-photographer/filmmaker, non-recipe following chef, and professional procrastinator. But music is the constant driving force in his life. He grew up on a steady diet of Guy Clark, Waylon Jennings (whom he is named after), Tom Russel, Todd Snider, John Prine, Billy Joe Shaver and other similar troubadours. Jake's music can be categorized similarly to the above artists.

During the past decade or so of playing shows and honing his craft, Jake Waylon has had the pleasure of playing on many historic stages around central Texas. The most memorable being Nutty Brown, Hill's Cafe, Saxon Pub, and Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe.

Bandmates: Easton Falke - banjo, Josh Droegemueller - fiddle, Cash Lehman- bass, and Mikey Best- drums.
