Central Texas Walking Art Tour presents…
BYE, BYE Summer.
FALL in love with Bastrop!
BYE, BYE Summer is a celebration of art and culture in the art hub of Central TX—historic downtown Bastrop.
Here is what you can expect:
When: Saturday, September 30th
Where: Events are happening on Main Street and Chestnut Street in downtown Bastrop. This is an indoor event with short distances between locations.
Art Lovers & Artists: Art lovers and artists of all types are encouraged to attend. You’ll see a freakishly large number of art galleries and studios in a 3-block by 4-block area. You’ll be able to meet and chat with the artists, even the introverts. You might even fall in love with a special piece for your home.
If you’ve ever been curious about how urban sketching can become part of your life, or simply enjoy watching people sketch live, you’ll not want to miss this. Over 100 sketchers will be all over town. And they’re not shy about interacting with the public. You’ll also have a chance to try your hand at sketching with a free sketching lesson.
History Buffs: You won’t want to miss the homes in the most historic small town in Texas, conveniently located in the heart of the Lost Pines, a short drive from Austin, Houston, and San Antonio.
Music Lovers: You will enjoy live music infused throughout the day. In the evenings, eats & drinks establishments feature local & regional bands. The visual arts has no better partner than live music. Can’t throw a drumstick without hitting a musician in our lil’ town.
Foodies: We didn’t forget you! You’ll be surrounded by unique eats and drinks a la Bastrop. Savor the farm-to-table meals, the best handmade chips, delicious baked goods, topnotch Mexican and Vietnamese food, offbeat food trucks, some good ole Southern cooking, of course, and so much more, all with some amazing atmosphere and views. Sip on wine, beer, and moonshine (yea, you heard right) made right here in Bastrop, along with some delicious cocktails.
The event is free, but please register! Stay the weekend! Attend this event and you’ll FALL in love with Bastrop!
