The Lost Pines Knife Show is a family-friendly event showcasing dozens of Texas knifemakers selling their custom-made knives, live knifemaking and blacksmithing demos, live music and food trucks! Try your hand at axe throwing or forge your own horseshoe knife! Don't miss Central Texas' largest knife show this weekend September 30 - October 1!
Art After Dark is held very first Saturday of the month, featuring artwork from Texas artists, live music and complimentary refreshments. Meet and mingle with artists, creatives and art lovers, while enjoying the beauty of the Art Center gallery, after hours. All are welcome to come get a taste of the Bastrop arts community, and shop for original art work, gifts, and more! Admission is always free. (Holiday weekends may impact this event. We have a special night for you on August 5th! Longtime Member, author, and co-owner of Painted Bunting Gallery in Bastrop, Jeffrey Stayton will present his solo exhibition, "People of the Sun in the Lake of the Moon". This is a series of works based on his original poem of the same name. The poem and art work depict imagery from Aztec mythology. Jeffrey will give an Art Talk at 7pm, with a Q & A.
We will have a special performance by the Aztec dancers of "Danza Guadalupana at 6pm!!
Light refreshments will be served.
Admission is free and all are welcome!
