Visit Bastrop, a new 501c6 Destination Marketing Organization, is accepting applications for one of our final positions for this fiscal year. Visit Bastrop is responsible for marketing and selling the Bastrop region to attract overnight and daytrip visitation for leisure tourism, sports events, meetings, conventions and special events.

Qualified candidates will have specific training, expertise and demonstrated success in communications discipline. Public relations, writing, story creation, media relations and editing are all desirable qualifications. Technology based communications are highly desired, including blogging and working with bloggers. Specific job experience with other destination marketing organizations, or in the hospitality industry, is highly desirable. Degree is strongly preferred but extraordinary experience can be substituted. Significant community interface will be required to ensure proper representation of all the major assets and demand generators. Up-to-date skill sets with most or all of technology based marketing tools highly desired.
